 FILMMAKER BIOMason Shefa is 16 years old and attends the Oakwood School in Los Angeles, California. He has been making movies for 10 years. He credits his 1st grade teacher for introducing him to the art form. Mason writes, shoots, directs, edits (and sometimes stars in) narrative, experimental and animated shorts. His films have been awarded top honors at USC’s LA Student Film Festival, the Danville International Children’s Film Festival, LA’s FilmFest 43, Harvard-Westlake Film Festival, Scholastic Arts, and the Spotlight The Arts festival in Calabasas, CA just to name a few. Mason lives with his parents and younger brother in Studio City, California. He also has an 80 lb. German shepherd dog named “Boomer.” |
