Jeremy Pion-Berlin:
Director of Photography, Co-Producer, Editor, and Sound Designer of: Avec La Moustache (with mustache), is an up and coming filmmaker whose passion and hard work have led him to early success in his career. Since enrolling in the Manhattan School of Cinema in 2003 he has gone on to create 17 short films and one 45-minute movie. After being accepted into the impacted Television, Film and New Media program at San Diego State University, he shot movies on 16mm. Super 16mm, and the Sony XDCam. Jeremy worked numerous roles in each film ranging from Director, Writer, Producer, to Cinematographer, Editor, and Sound Designer. However, he developed his first great collaboration with Director/Writer, Demitri Andrikopoulos, in their production of Avec La Moustache (with mustache). Jeremy handled the cinematography, film and sound editing, while Demitri wrote the script after being inspired by the French New Wave. The film took Second Place Narrative at the CSU Media Arts Festival and has been accepted into other festivals nation wide such as: Smogdance Film Festival, San Francisco Independent Film Festival, and Festivus Film Festival.

At the University Jeremy has developed strong working relationships with professors and peers. This has given him a solid base of knowledge in which he has drawn on when pursuing industry level jobs. This past summer he worked as an editor and office assistant at The Grossmyth Company which edits trailers, TV spots, and EPK for Sony Picture Classics, IFC Films, Focus Features, and many more. He edited behind the scenes interviews for the TV show My Boys, which will be released on DVD. Also he helped edit the EPK for Frances Ford Coppola’s new film, Youth Without Youth and David Mamet’s new film Redbelt. In addition he over cut various trailers and filmed an interview with the actor, Max Martini, on the set of Redbelt. Jeremy acquired valuable knowledge listening to these academy award winning directors and actors, and this has strengthened his own skills. Jeremy (DP/Editor/Sound Designer) and Demitri (Director/Writer) have just completed their newest film Buster to critical acclaim at the San Diego State Film Festival. It will soon be sent out to other festivals.
